The necessity of the Office of Engineering and Maintenance Management Department is when those changes were done, the majority of the information of their buildings had been altered without be updated. The problem of not having this information updated, it’s about futures jobs in electronic level because could have confusion and inconsistencies that could delay the labor of the technicians and of designs of the engineers. This project has as main objective to update line diagrams, because we don’t have this information so far, make an analysis of short circuit currents to ensure that before an event all of the short circuit currents will be capable to supporting this phenomenon clearing satisfactorily and isolating the equipment to avoid being affected. And finally to check the status of coordination of protections of the buildings A, B, C and D of the supply connection and the main central offices of Tecnológico de Costa Rica. The analysis of the short circuit currents will be based in the next norms IEEE_0141_1993 (Red) Electric Power Distribution for Industrial y IEEE_0551-2006 (Violet) Calculating short circuit currents in Industrial and Commercial Power Systems. The calculation methodology, which is basing by means of the consulted standards, will be validated by means of simulation software SKM of power tools with the final purpose to compare results.Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica
